In the quiet town of Erode in South India, a boy was born in 1887 who would one day astonish the world with his extraordinary mathematical genius. His name was Srinivasa Ramanujan. Hardy at the University of Cambridge. At first, Hardy thought the letter might be a prank. But as he carefully studied the formulas, he realized that the writer possessed a truly extraordinary mind.

Hardy later invited Ramanujan to England to work with him at University of Cambridge. There, Ramanujan continued to produce groundbreaking mathematical results. Even professional mathematicians were amazed at how he arrived at such complex formulas with very little formal proof.

When Hardy once asked Ramanujan how he discovered such beautiful formulas, Ramanujan humbly replied that they were revealed to him by Goddess Namagiri in his dreams.
